Tomo Brejc was born on 31st October 1975 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He became interested in photography in early childhood and always remained intimate with the medium. After graduating at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Faculty of Arts, in Philosophy and Cultural Sociology. The title of the final thesis was: ” The end of Photography or Merely an Opportunity to Reconsider European Visual Culture.” he continued to be connected with photography, film and video and decided to dedicate himself full time to his biggest passion – image making.
Based in London Tomo shoots for fashion magazines such as GQ UK, GQ France, GQ China, ESQUIRE UK, Esquire US, L’Officiel Hommes Italia, Mr Porter, L’Uomo Vogue, Vogue Japan, Big Black Book, Harpers Bazaar UK, Telegraph fashion, among others. And has shot actors like: Samuel L. Jackson, James Norton, Antonio Banderas, Jamie Dornan, John Hamm, Stanley Tucci, Cristopher Waltz, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kit Harrington, Tom Hiddleston, Miles Teller, Jamie Campbell Bower, Nicholas Hoult, Sam Claflin, and among others.
His art photography was also exhibited in various solo and group exhibitions, Paris Photo ,Louvre 2010, 12th International Festival of Computer Arts, 2006, Ljubljana Slovenia, 25th Peaces Euro Part, Contemporary Art from Europe, 2005, Vienna & Salzburg, Signs of Time, 2005, Gallery Infra, Stockholm, Sweden, Slovene Art:1995-2005, Museum of Modern Art Ljubljana, Slovenia, 2005 among others.
